The Krisis Consultancy story began with a passion for building emergency management (EM) capability across organisations inclusive of Western Australian (WA) based local government (LG) areas.
We identified the need for a personalised, results-driven consultancy service, and set out to close that gap using knowledge gained through 35 years of operational experience across local, state, and national agencies, from a passion for academic learning, and through a personal commitment to achieving excellence.

Brad is a senior emergency management leader with more than 30 years of experience across aviation, emergency services, health, and complex multi-agency environments. His career has been defined by a strong focus on operational leadership, organisational resilience, and the development of emergency management capability at both strategic and operational levels.
Over the course of his career, Brad has held senior roles with the Royal Australian Air Force, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, and the Western Australian health sector, leading emergency preparedness, incident management, business continuity, training, and post-incident review functions. He is recognised for strengthening governance, improving readiness, and delivering programmes that build capability across complex, high-risk organisations.
His experience includes the design of emergency response frameworks, leadership of major exercises and simulation programmes, and the delivery of practical resilience strategies that support agencies to prepare for, respond to, and recover from critical events. He has also contributed to national committees and sector-wide initiatives, bringing a collaborative and forward-looking approach to emergency management leadership.
Brad holds a Master of Emergency Management, PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, and ICAM Lead Investigator qualifications, alongside a broad range of specialist credentials. He also contributes to the development of the profession through academic appointments with universities across Australia, supporting postgraduate emergency management education and the next generation of industry leaders.

"Brad's knowledge and experience in emergency management has supported the Department of Education (WA), and in his review of the agency's Emergency and Incident Management Capabilities he identified a number of key areas for improvement.
In addition, Brad was a significant stakeholder to support the development of the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan for Rangelands Natural Resource Management. His approach is professional, genuine and collaborative, always focusing on the best outcome for clients".

The AAA represents the interests of more than 340 airports and aerodromes Australia wide – from the local country community landing strip to major international gateway airports. AAA members represent vital infrastructure crucial to the communities in which they operate and for the overall national economy.
Brad is currently a Corporate Member with the AAA and is working to assist the aviation industry through his aviation safety skillset developed over 17 years within aviation rescue fire fighting services.

The IAFPA is committed to promote International Civil Aviation Safety Standards in Aviation Fire Fighting and Rescue (ARFF) capability, and to promote closer cooperation between emergency responders and emergency planners across the Asia Pacific, European and Middle East aviation regions.
Brad is currently an Individual Member with the IAFPA and is working to build capability within ARFF based services across Western Australia.

The International Association of Emergency Managers is an organisation dedicated to promoting the profession of emergency management by working with its membership to promote the goals of saving lives and protecting property during emergencies and disasters.
Brad is currently acknowledged as an Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) as based on his skills developed in over 35 years within the industry.

Natural Hazards Research Australia is Australia’s national centre for natural hazard resilience and disaster risk reduction, and is funded as a research organisation to address the major challenges arising from natural hazards, including bushfires, floods, cyclones, heatwaves, storms and other hazards. The Centre works with partners in all states and territories, federal, state and local governments, key industry bodies, the private and not-for-profit sectors, research and other organisations with a stake in protecting Australian communities.
Brad is currently an Associate Student with NHRA, engaging with the organisation as part of his PhD studies through Edith Cowan University.

ICAM Training has a focus on thorough and methodical incident investigation with a structured process aimed at reducing the risk and preventing recurrence of incidents.
Brad is currently accredited as an ICAM Lead Investigator, and has used this skillset during a number of high-impact incident investigations.

PRINCE2 is a project management methodology that emphasizes organisation and control and is linear and process-based, focusing on moving initiatives through predefined stages. The PRINCE2 certification is globally recognised and, firmly established as the world's most-practised method for project management.
Brad is currently accredited as a certified Prince2 Practioner, and has used this skillset to manage a number of high profile projects.
